About the Band
Today’s the Day we show them all, heart and soul, rise or fall.
Since forming in March 2010, Strawberry Ocean Sea (SOS) have slowly but surely seduced the local underground scene through a mix of their dark alternative sound, original lyrics, musicianship, live shows and the intangible mystery which follows the band everywhere they go.
Home demos have been well received so far but new recordings – Today’s the Day, Enough is Never Enough and Under the Moonlight, will see the band rise onwards and upwards in 2011.
The year has already started well for the band with a sell out headline show at King Tut’s as part of the New Year’s Revolution series of gigs and many more live shows will be happening at a town near you in the coming months. See our MySpace and Facebook page for full listings.
In times of reality TV shows and manufactured pop acts, Strawberry Ocean Sea offer an honesty, integrity and quality which echoes acts who have went before them such as Arcade Fire, Echo and the Bunnymen and early U2.
SOS are something to believe in, something special, something which stands apart from anything else and gives hope back to the UK music industry. Today’s the Day.
